GTX 980 SLI rig crashing in BF4

wolfgooner

Alright guys so i just upgraded with a 2nd card and I'm having this weird issue. I noticed that this happened even with a single 980 but not as often. Just to clarify I ran unigine heaven benchmark for an hour straight and there was no crashing at all with both cards overclocked.

980 1---gpu clock +180 mem clock +450 (primary)

980 2--gpu clock +180 mem clock +200

running in 1440p, every time I change the resolution scale i get a windows crash saying "your computer is low on memory"...If i go into the game with the settings already preset at lets say 150% resolution scale then its fine, but if i change it lower or higher in game at any amount the game crashes.

I'd appreciate any help!

***Since this is a low memory crash, is it possible that having only 8gb 1600mhz is the problem?

specs of the rest of your rig?

what driver ver are you on?

how are the GPU connected?

reset all the overclocks and try again

go for 1080P res and work you way up

Change your OC, keep decreasing 50 Mhz at a time.

And keep your drivers up-dated.
