Using Hot Swap Cage to "Extend" 5.25 Drive Bays?

boat

How practical would it be to use a hot swap cage commonly used in RAID setups with 5.25" drive bays as an extension to my case's limited number of drive bays?

I have a Thermaltake Core V31 - two 5.25" drive bays (should have picked a case with more drive bays, but too late), and the top is basically a big metal mesh board, designed to have the capacity to mount 3x 120 or 140 mm fans. I'm currently considering to do the following:

Does this seem practical, or is there actually an item out there for this purpose?

Looking for 5.25" enclosure.

I'm looking for something like triple of these, but USB isn't necessary: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827993013

So far, http://www.amazon.com/SilverStone-CFP53B-Drive-Suspension-Mounting/dp/B0034XRDV4/ seems to do the trick, and I can probably mount it on top of my case. okay no it doesn't, just read the description. Thought it could fit three 5.25" devices, but it's actually 5.25" to 3.5"
