And here I am, finally realising the logo on the screen in the intro is a cat.

Is the power on/off on the joy stick instant one press? If it's press and hold or takes more than one button press than eww, that's the one thing I hate about joy sticks on monitors and tvs. Sure it's better to navigate through the settings but is really annoying when you need it to turn off right away or it turns back on. Maybe I'm being nit-picky but I hate it, there should be a dedicated power button if possible.

I wanna buy one of these. But I must ask (out of curiosity) though, if I down scale the native resolution to 3440 x 1440, will it negatively affect the refresh rate?

Dangit. What I really want is a curved 21:9 160 PPI 34" FreeSync IPS monitor with a 30-120Hz refresh range.

Now if you'll excuse me, I am behind on my daily quota of unicorn spotting.

Maybe that'll happen in a year or two with DP 1.3.

EDIT: Ugh, I meant the monitor... not the unicorn spotting.

I always forget, 34inch widescreen is equivalent to what size if they're two screens?

I would love to see what happens if you try and overclock this monitor.. Will the variable refresh rate range increase or will it just disable alltogether nomatter what.

Really hope LG makes a G-sync version of this or the curved version (at 3440 x 1440), anyway great video as always and sexy monitor.

I believe it is equivalent to two 20" monitors side-by-side

Terve!
First: Thank you for making the contest so much easier.

I hope there will be a review of a 60Hz 1440p IPS Monitor with a good version of Freesync.

Sayonara!

When you get this - download rivatuner statistics server and put up a global FPS cap of 74

GG. You NEVER have to deal with freesyncs max cap issues. Just keep your fps high enough to not reach the minimum cap.

Meh was thinking about switching over to Red team and get a freesync 21:9 screen, but 2560x1080 is a dealbreaker for me  -_-

Want to ask whether Nvidia Gsync has the 'max cap issue' like freesync?
