Computer Freezes after installing on a SSD

Hello,

I just built a new computer.

   Windows 8.1

   AMD FX - 6300 six core 3.5

   GeForce GTX 750

   120Gig SSD

   1TB

   8Gig Ram

   MSI MS-7693 mother broad

This is not the first time I built a computer, but it is the first time I built one with a SSD and a HDD. I installed the OS on the SSD, and then once the installation was complete I went to the registry and changed the default program directory to the HDD. I changed the default library locations(Desktop, Documents, music, etc) to the HDD as well. The computer starts up just fine, but it freeze randomly and sometime my screen goes blank for thirty seconds. What could be causing this problem, and what are some way I can fix this?

Also when I set up the HDD with the OS I used a GPT instead of a MBR to partition it.

Thank you,

Vertec

Editing it by registry can cause instabilities, it is better to just change the location of Documents, Downloads, Music, blablabla the list goes on. With my SSD and HDD I just changed to location of Documents, Downloads, Music, Videos, Pictures, Desktop and AppData that is all I did and my SSD does not get chocked with stuff. No sketchy registry stuff.

Revert your PC back to when you just build it and see if it keeps on freezing?

Is the drive in IDE or AHCI? It needs to be in AHCI if not my friend.

|PSU Tier List /80 Plus Efficiency| PSU stuff if you need it.
