660Ti overclocking -NEED HELP

Hello, i'm new here to the linustechtips form, and i really need help overclocking my GTX 660Ti. I got this card over a year ago, and could never overclock it. Any increase on the core clock would result in my game freezing, and a message saying, "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" (pic: http://imgur.com/LkguEU4)

Any help would be appreciated

Specs:

i5 4670K (OC 4.3GHz)

ASUS GTX 660Ti DC2OC-3GD5

EVGA SuperNova 750G PSU

ASRock Z87 Extreme4 mobo

Windows 8.1 64bit

If i'm not wrong, that card is already OC'ed to hell, and not much more performance can be obtained by boosting clocks and voltages, (bad idea for this card, so i hear) so OC'ing the card might be unhealthy; i could be wrong.

It gets up to 1189MHz on its own and runs at about 70 C. Is it unreasonable to expect anything more?

If I recall correctly the GTX 660's never overclocked that well; however it is a pretty kickass little card, its still pulling strong.

CPU: G3258 @ 4GHz GPU: Gigabyte GTX 960 OC RAM: 8GB G.Skill DDR3 1600 SSD: Corsair LS 120GB Case: Antec GX500 Mouse: Logitech G402 Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow Headphones: Shure SRH440 Microphone: That Zalman Zm-Mic1 that everyone recommends but noone uses

Remember when the R9 280 was the HD 7950? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
