cheapest DSLR for video and photos with good quality?

So I know little to nothing about cameras so I need major help. Might add a wide angle lens.

Note: I will be using it to take pictures indoors and of scenery.

Edit: budget totaling around 400-500$. Really don't want to stretch it to far.

just look what you can find used.

I don't what to looks for and stuff like that. Sure I can find a cheap used camera but idk if its good. I don't want to spend a bunch of money and then need to spend more shortly after.

What kind of budget are we looking at here? A T5i is probably the cheapest and best camera you'll get.

It mostly comes down to the lens, if you are doing indoors with little lighting then you'll need a faster f/ lens.

Its all about the lighting.

cheapest new: canon 1200D or IIRC the T5i in US.

for lenses: if you want wide angle go somewhere between the 10-30mm, but ensure that it's a EF lens(white square connection) otherwise there is a chance you lose pieces of your scene, which you don't want.

May the light have your back and your ISO low.

Nikon 3100/3200 or 3300 are very good aimed at people wanting to get into photography. The first 2 you can find good deals on, and you may be lucky to get a good priced second hand. As for lenses the 18-55mm kit lens is great for what u need.

Then when u get into the swing of things get a 35mm or 50mm 1.4 versions for portraits.

Then if your still not happy with your scenery shots look for a wide angle lens then as they are expensive, but prior to investing in a wide angle lens, I would invest in a tripod it will sharpen up your pics no end.

Edit: Another reason I recommend these camera's are for the sheer amount of megapixels at this price point.

I have a decent tripod already that is adapted to use my phone camera. Up to now that is all I have been using but my phone camera is not too great.

I'll probably using it a lot for video and photography so I want the video quality to be good as well.

I am gonna agree with Koff, the more Megapixels the better for photos. More MP also means less low light abilities.

Canon's camera os is like 10 times better than Nikons though.

Personally I got the Canon T3i because of how easy it was to use and how nice the video mode was.

Here I will list 2 of a few reliable used camera dealers that you can find on ebay one is kenmore cameras, and one is Henry's camera:

http://www.ebay.com/usr/kenmorecamera

http://www.ebay.com/usr/henrys.com

with you budget you can easily get a d5200/d5100 with stock lens, and then get another lens.

or a 700D/1000D with nifty fifty

I'd have to say the Canon sl1. Is basically a t5i minus a few features. A t3i would also be a great choice.

How much would the sl1 cost with a decent wide angle? The sl1 is around 450$ already

Anyone used a t4i before? It seems to be the same as sl1 and t5i when it comes to quality but I can find it for 375$ used(like new)

ef-s is white box ef is red circle

10-30mm on an ef-s lens still has a 1.6 corp just as an ef les they are just cheeper.

but cheapo dslr's are usually not that good, if you make sure that the used stuff is in good condition you will be fine for  a long time. many people even sell them with warranty.

This looks good new, but if you can find a T3i/T5i/D5200/D5300 used they would be good.  Mirrorless cameras are good, so don't rule them out.
