Corsair K70 any good?

DanTheDJ

Hey all,

anyone got a K70, or know of anybody with one? Choosing a new keyboard and not sure how this one is. YouTube is alright, but all reviews are the same and i'd like to know how someone using it all the time finds it.

Cheers

Dan

It's ok. Some keys aren't spaced out that well, but overall it's fine.

Sound: Custom one pros, Audioengine A5+ with S8 sub.

Really liking mine apart from the clack as I'm pretty heavy handed and bottom out the keys.

Just waiting for my o-rings to turn up to get rid of it.  I really like the Cherry MX Reds as I'm not a fan of feeling or hearing the actuation point of the switch.

I did have a K70 RGB but I had no end of issues with getting CUE to recognise it to set profiles up so I took it back and just got the K70.  I've also never been one for using wrist rests but I'm really enjoying the one on this.  Feels really sturdy and comfortable.

I game and write MS SQL and I've yet to have any issues with it, just the usual "getting used to" period you have with any keyboard.

Sometimes the backspace and enter buttons are hard to press because they don't have supports, you have to reach out and press in the middle of the key. Of course, the space bar doesn't have this problem.

Umm...yes. Yes it is. And I can say this through personal experience. Does depend on switch preference though. I have Blues myself.

I've had one since they were first released. I love mine, cherry mx reds aren't great if you do a lot of typing. get browns for best of both.

I do 95% gaming on mine so it's not an issue

I love mine, getting a 60% soon though because I need the space.  It is kinda expensive, but has great build quality, also looks sweet.

I've just added o-rings to mine this evening and although it's a tedius job it's well worth doing.

Made a massive difference but i've realised that some of the noise was due to the release of the key hitting the top of it's stroke.  Bit annoying but it'll do.  Feels so good to use though.  I've just added the contoured keys to it and I'm going to see how I get on with them.

Shall see how I get on.

Yes, the k70 is amazing. I got it and 2 months ago and I just can't stop typing on it. I have cherry blues (the awesome clacky ones) and they feel amazing. Personally I find the key spacing awesome and all the keys are raised above the brushed aluminum plate so it's very easy to clean. On top of that, there's dedicated media keys which are really useful. Definitely no complaints from me :)

I have the k95 with cherry mx brown which is basically a k70 with macro keys. I find the keyboard to be pretty nice and they key spacing is fine.
