I'm hoping my G1 980 will do for Oculus.

The most impressive bit I think is that Nvidia worked against this happening, and you made it happen. They probably wanted to, but didn't have any extra Titan Xs lying around.

You always overclock your cards. Why not this time?

maybe the cards were running to hot with the stock fans, they might overclock them when someone e brings out water blocks for them
