My review of the NZXT H440

Uwillparish

Please Read!

The opinions stated by me(Uwillparish) Are my own, This review has not been swayed by any outside source, This Article is my own, So don't call me out on fact mistakes, M-kay?

This is my build in the H440, It features a Intel core i7-4770k, A Gigabyte Z87x-UD4H, A EVGA gtx 780, 2x Sandisk SSD's(64gb and 256gb), a WD 3tb Green HDD, A rosewill Lightning 1000w PSU, the kraken x61, And obviously, The H440!
post-157377-0-10695100-1427178135_thumb.

This is a very sleek and minimalistic looking case, Similar to the way fractal design makes their cases.
post-157377-0-09902000-1427178185_thumb.

For front panel connectors we have 2x USB 2 and 2x USB 3, Along with a HD Audio headphone and microphone jack. The HD Audio header also does not have the old audio standard attached, Yay for no more wire cutting!
post-157377-0-09556000-1427178561_thumb.

The front panel is also great for all 'dem flash drives!
post-157377-0-36080900-1427178581_thumb.

The windowed side panel includes some sound foam(which can make cable management in the back somewhat difficult), as does the other panels, And a Plexiglas windows, Be careful where you set that side panel, As the Plexiglas scratches VERY easily.
post-157377-0-24041000-1427178875_thumb.

On the top of the unit on the inside, we have plenty of room for a water cooler radiator, You have room for a 120mm, 240mm, 280mm, or a 360mm rad.
post-157377-0-48516600-1427178981_thumb.

We also have 2x ssd bays and 5x HDD bays, Be careful when mounting rads, as they can effect the HDD bay usage

post-157377-0-98525200-1427179854_thumb.

The case includes 4 out of 7 possible fans, the front ones being filtered.
post-157377-0-22887600-1427179433_thumb.

The PSU is covered by a shroud that includes a illuminated NZXT logo, Which speaking of LED's is also connected to a rear IO set of LED's.

There is also plenty of cable holes in this case, Perfect for people like me who are super particular about cable management.

And for the last few pictures, GLAMOUR SHOTS!

Conclusion and closing

For my closing, I would like to add that i love this case, It looks very nice sitting on my desk, Though there may be somethings i would change, Like having more cable management room, And since I like my blu-ray drives, at least 1 3.5 Inch drive bay, This case is still very good.

If you have any critique about my review, Please share it with me, and I'll try and improve for next time. Thanks for reading and have a good day!

What first bit, the spoiler or the intro? The Temps when stress testing for a minute with Intel extreme tuning utility on the cpu was around 62 degrees Celsius, turbo boosting to 3.9ghz

If you're interested in adding a fan controller like the Sentry, I pulled this off. I just removed the bottom fan.

NZXT Hue on the botton, NZXT Sentry 3 on the top powered off

as far as value for money, the H440 is an excellent deal.

Looks great, good build quality, easy cable management and nice PSU shroud.

For me, it's only downside is the sacrifice in airflow as result of the sleek minimalist design

Now, this was a bit of an issue with my AMD setup in it and I would have to take the front panel off when overclocking.

Since changing over to intel, I've never needed to do that.

Why did you want a rear mounted rad as opposed to a top mounted rad?

Darn it! Don't tease me with those logo's, it makes me think "sponsored build" But still, Nice build

That is not a sponsored build, I just made that logo to reflect all the brands in the rig :)

Seeing three sticks of RAM in anything but LGA1366 makes me sad.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

why 1366? Also the reason i have is, is that when i bought my mobo i got a free stick of ram, So i plopped it in there to have 12gb of ram, and i dont really need it high bandwidth, but it bugs me for consistency too

aesthetically, with that size rad I prefer it rear mounted. But that will change when I change to a bigger cooler :)

LGA1366, with the original Core i7, had triple channel memory.
