question about 4K and 1920x1080 TV screens

I was looking around on the internet when i saw a cheap 4k TV screen and a 1920 x 1080 TV screen and use them as a monitor.

1- I was thinking if its worth to buy a 4k TV now, because it does not seem there is a lot of content for it. The only thing i could think of is youtube videos but not really movies or anything else. I was thinking about it buying it anyway because for the future content that may come in 2 years

2- So i thought what if i buy a 4k TV and use it as a monitor for my pc but can you make it like 1920x1080 ? So my grahpics card can run it.

3- Is there more lag on a TV then a monitor? (HD or 4K)

I am new to the whole forum thing so pls dont hate to much :) i hope you can give me some advice. If you have some Questions feel free to ask them.

(Sorry for my bad english its not my native langauge)

Edit: 4k TV : LG 42UB820V - Led-tv - 42 inch - Ultra HD/4K - Smart tv

       HD TV: Panasonic TX-42AS650E - 3D led-tv - 42 inch - Full HD - Smart tv

by the end of this year 4k tvs should be a decent price

you can downscale in game, but then it looks eh, but personally isn't that big of a deal

more lag on tv

im planing on getting a 60+inch 4k Tv

and sticking with my 800pish monitor 1280by1024

the recommended seating distance for a 42" 4k tv is about 3 feet. so its pretty darn close. imo you are wasting your money on a tv this small in 4k.

CD Transport: Oppo 105 > RCA: Morrow MA1 / HDMI > Processor: Primare SP33 > RCA: Morrow MA1 > Amplifier: Elektra Theatron 7 > Speaker Cables: Neotech > Speakers: Monitor Audio RS8
