I have purchased one of these to power the light strip internally from a USB header that is currently not in use.

Could i run light strips from this connection?

I have done this the only thing is the bloody thing keeps falling off.  I have tried heavy duty double sided tape and still now and then it drops off.

Can you link to the exact one Linus used?

Requesting this as well (for Nick.) It looks like from the package in the video it's probably from a 3rd party seller. Seems like the going price is ~$15-$20 when I would have guessed $5 for something like this. Maybe $10 if it was prime eligible.

Good format video. Much better than dumb headphone reviews. This is what a "tip" video should be about.

I actually got one for $2.49... Brand doesn't matter or anything, just get an led strip that is powered by USB. You really don't need more than 50cm, which is what I got for the price, although i did have to wait 2 weeks for it to show up from China. Still worth it, costs 3x less than what I saw on Amazon from US sellers...

Didn't Linus mention something recently about an actual fire started in his rig due to custom lighting? I mean, if you're a chinese wholesaler, what's preventing you from lazily modding these led strips all day and tack on a "QC Passed" sticker (from your large role of stickers) on every one, pack it up, and use subsidized shipping to the US? Even at $2.50, they gotta be making some pretty good margins over there, enlisting the help of many "workers" I assume. I mean, US customs won't give a shit if your house burns down right?
