Cool video guys! This gives me an idea for some sweet backlighting for my monitors. Must buy 5V led strips with Amazon affiliate link.

I love this style of video. I think it really gives us that dose of "classic" LTT style (handcammed, etc) and kinda gave me that old LTT vibe. You guys should do more of these little videos, they are great.

I really liked the video, DIY/vlog kind of videos are fun to follow, i wish it was a little longer tho

Other thing i think is that the weekend videos should be the most amazing, like build logs, or like the scrapyard wars, there was so much hype and anticipation for those videos, i was thinking about that series through all the week.

Personally I don't find it difficult to "plug by braille"...meaning, I just feel for a port - I know where they generally are - and then plug it in. I rarely even turn the computer around, just reach in the back and plug in. Plus my computer is in my room and I don't want that constant light...already have more than enough of those.

Would putting LEDs in the inside of the computer be the same procedure ?

Listen, Smile, Agree.

Then do whatever the fuck you were going to do anyway

Meanwhile, Gigabyte thinks of this and makes the rear IO illuminated.

But scarifies on mobo quality.

Would putting LEDs in the inside of the computer be the same procedure ?

LEDs inside the case would probably be powered by Molex from the PSU or 4 pin via the mobo.

for me it's ok to put a few less edited videos between the quality ones, about things no one wants to spend much time on it.

i think on yt there is something like a std max length (10-15 minutes) on a daily format, for the majority of the audience.

on the gmm channel (6.22m subscribers) they have a second good mytical more channel with 1.35m subscribers, so about 1/5 subscribed to this channel, too.

the concept is to break this time limit (add 3-7 min) and get a little bit further into the topic in a more sloppy unscripted quality.

i don't have a channel and big yt play button on the wall. ^^

but maybe that's an easy way to get some extra cash out of yt and it could be a benefit for the viewers, too.

I dig it, I was lamenting choosing a case that doesn't have IO lighting, so this is an awesome fix. Would love to see more videos like this in the future

I really like the idea of lighting up the rear IO but why is it always on? Is it somehow possible to program it in the way it's normally dark but when you want to plug something in, lights turn on? With some extra button maybe?

I couldn't watch that bright light in dark room all the time. I'd rather have a lamp under the table and a switch to turn it on when I need to.

I like this format for the videos but I have a question. Is that a crack in the screen there? When you're turning off the PC it looks like there's a horizontal line in the middle of the screen that shouldn't be there. could be a reflection but it also looks like part of the screen. Was just wondering about that lol.

I would really like to do this on my new build but I can't justify spending $35 on a 1m length.Only two choices at Amazon.ca and the results for the NCIX page says no results for that search.I have one of these and it works great.http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00GM477G8?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00

A few dollars cheaper but I do not see the one that Linus used.Great idea though.

I have something similar behind my monitor and it is on when I turn off my PC. Is there a way for the LEDs to be on only with PC on?

"We link products in the desperation, I don't know what people complain about"

*Proceeds to link an amazon and ncix search like normal, not the actual thing that's in the video. *
Come on.

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch
