1080p 60 FPs vs 4k 30FPS

Hey guys, the title is basicly the question.

Rendering times and file sizes aren't really a problem for me, so which would you guys rather watch videos in, 1080p @60 or 4k @30?

60fps makes me feel sick and looks unnatural imo so ill always rather 30fps for video.

I'd rather 1080p 30fps. Watching 4K requires me to change screens, watching 1080p60 requires me to change browsers...and not feel great.mor shoot at 4K and crop to 3440*1440 :P

Shoot at a higher resolution if you want, and render it at 1080 - can then zoom in quite a lot, and it often saves you a secondary camera.

Shoot at 60fps if you want, and render it at 30 - that way if you need slow motion, you get slow motion.

60fps makes me feel sick and looks unnatural

So you like tearing and jumping scene

At 24p or 30p if sombody walk or moving fast left to righ i see lot of tearing but if record 60fps it smooth as silk

Last winter i did many figure skate video at 24p and 60fps

24p look ugly when object moving fast and i can´t panning because heavy screen tearing

people like 24p because it always was 24p and now new 60p in video look weird because its too smooth

In film class noticed 24p get ton of masking layer so we don´t notice tearing

but it take time to people accept 60fps in video its like anlogic 35mm film was only true film and digital video was stupid nonsense

And look where digital video is now

24p was perfect audio sync film time so that way it was universal standard

24p don´t look fim like because framerate its because lot off masking layer and effect + little film macig

sombody ho don´t like my argument can find misspell or something in writing  :P

it depends on the use.

camera recording:

30FPS 4K and scale it down to 1080p, 30fps is less high and gives stuff like motion blur blablabla, but its more natural(in my eyes) and less of a hassle to edit and gives you a bit more room for error(see hobbit 48fps version as reference)

LTT tried 60fps recording to, but the people that wanted it started complaining that their vids suddenly became shit.

screencapture:

1080p 60fps, smoother and people want it badly because of their 60Hz screens.

-snips-

Hobit HDR

are you sure that is the correct link? it's ehmm a bit revealing

May the light have your back and your ISO low.

no theres a difference between getting motion sick from a video game and getting motion sick from 60fps instead of 30fps

Not primarily although i do spend quite a bit of time playing pc games, i tend to use PC more for simulators then anything else.

video's at 60FPS and games at 60FPS are 2 different things, 60fps video is good if you plan n slowing down the speed to 30 fps for a slomo effect.

while 60fps at games is for a smoother experience.

fps don't go up for real life since our eyes don't work in such a way you can explain it with Hz or fps, making it fundamentally a totally different thing

May the light have your back and your ISO low.

Ill admit ive only ever watched 1 video game in 60fps while it didn't give me motion sickness it made me feel like it was in fast forward. I guess i have to get use to it but at the same time i don't want to since alot of videos are still in 30fps, im going to have to be transitioning getting weird feelings all the time kinda like if you have ever heard a nightcore version of a song then go back to the original it's a weird and not so pleasant feeling. 60fps video is where it makes me feel sick and i absolutley hate it.
