Simple HDMI audio amplification to passive speakers?

I have a set of passive speakers and a Chromecast that I'll like to setup in my kitchen to play Google Music.

What is the simplest/cheapest way to pass on the Chromecast's HDMI signal to the passive speakers?

 

I don't need any kind of visual output. I'll control playback from my cell phone.
