Minolta SRT101 not cycling

Alright I just got into film and I bought a Minolta SRT101 for fairly cheap at a garage sale last year. It seemed to cycle fine, it took pictures fine. But I pulled it out today, and it doesn't cycle properly. And what I mean by that, is you "cock" the camera, press the shutter, it takes a photo but then I cannot see through the viewfinder until I "cock" the camera, and hit the shutter again. Did I hit a button somewheres? Did I just not notice this before, it is suppose to do that?

Is it bad that my dream setup only costs a few thousand not counting the obutto?

hmm i guess there aren;t really people around here that can help you with this subject since the device in question is a classic camera, old and fragile.

if you are looking for a solution i would recommend a more dedicated photography forum.

sadly don't have any links for you.

May the light have your back and your ISO low.

i had the same issue on my srt 202 my reccomendation take of the lense there is a lever that controls the miror and aperature if you push that it shoudl return the mirror to its original state.

Yea, I asked on a few forums. And nobody really gave me much help so I decided to try this as a last ditch resort before taking it to a repairshop.

I don't quite understand what you mean... can you like point out the lever in your camera?
