How do I make my on-ear headphones more comfortable?

Hello community,

so I bought some pair of on-ear headphones (House of Marley Positive Vibration), and they were pretty uncomfortable when I bought them.

But I thought that they just have to get used to my head and thats what the guy in the shop said too.

But that was 10 months ago. And they still hurt. When I listen to music for a longer period of time my ears start hurting and they turn red.

It´s probably the cushions but I cant find any replacement ones in the internet. 

Does someone know what the problem is? Or do you have any tips to make it more comfortable?

welcome to the issue of on-ears: they tend to be rather uncomfortable

yeaa thats what happens when you buy very commercial headphones that sound not so good because they are a bass heavy mess.

 

for example my over ear sennheiser hd 558 are the msot comfy heaphones ever, i have them on for hours and hours and during movies and gaming and no pain what-so-ever

On-ear headphones generally do hurt more than over ear because they have to put pressure on the head to stay on the head.

My arsenal: i7-9700k Gaming Rig, an iPhone, and Stupidity.

The best solution would be: get other headphones.

But that's not what you want to hear.

 

Maybe look into being able to make them less tight on your head and ears or maybe look into replacement pads

My sister got some monster and god almighty they hurt after wearing them for 30 seconds. I got some ATH-M50X and boy o boy they are way more comfortable and were cheaper, plus sounded better. As for you unless there is a way you can take off the cups you can't really do much. Good for you there are thousands of headphones that can suit your needs.

Just keeping this here as a
