Avalanche Casemod - Closed

[WARNING - BUILDING IN PROGRESS - TRESPASSERS WILL BE INVITED TO WATCH]

- Intro
Hello fellas! :D

This is Martin, from Denmark, here!
I'll be building a watercooled Haf Stacker, and painting a little NAS server together as a mini bro. My previous case was the Corsair 700D, which was gorgeous, but i wanted something bigger with a lot of space. The choice was between the 900D or HAF stackers, and since there is a lot of 900D mods out there, then i just wanted to try something else.
This casemod is called Avalanche. Simply because it is white, big and is gonna be terrifying heavy! I live on 1. floor and almost can't lift it down the stairs alone , even without anything inside it.
I plan to live up to the name, which I'll be doing with the watercooling, that'll be themed white and black. Fittings, res etc will be themed white, while the fluid will be black as the best contrast. I will be running hardline tubing and soft tubing in the bottom for draining and easy acces. Cables will be sleeved with white paracord which looks insanely awesome with a twist of black sleeving spinning around it. As of lightning goes, then I took it to the next level and ordered a RGBW Pure White LED strips. With that I'll be using a DX8 Touch controller, which I'll be mounting In a place which is easy to reach, maybe from outside the case or the top of part of it. We also know that a Avalanche ain't no quite thing. So i'll be taking a UE Megaboom as a "built in" soundsystem. Uhh, bluetooth ;)

I have been moving for the last month and is now finally settled down. I am preparing to paint by sanding the surfaces a little, and since there is a lot, i mean, a lot, really really, a lot of surfaces, this might take some time.

This is the first half part i am preparing.

I love that case in black, but in white its a whole nother beast. Is that matte? Its hard to tell its soo white. Very awesome, great job on the windows. Question: how did your edges on the windows come out when you used that cutting wheel? I'm doing a window mod soon as well but i've been holding off cutting until I can get a larger diameter cutting wheel than the dremel I usually use.

It is not perfectly precise cuts. A cutting wheel isn't that easy to make a precise cuts with (IMO), but it is on the other hand, easy to use.

Wow, so much ram! What are you gonna do with it all?

Tetris mostly.

No, jk :D With my current plans, I can't even use half of it, but why not? Thought it could be fun to have as much ram, as I got storage on my phone ;)

Pretty cool :)

You might need some reinforcement for your table at NPF, if you're planning on putting that monster up there :P

Thanks mate!

Na. It will be just fine :)

Okay, you might be right :( But we got the end table, so that shouldn't be a problem. But getting the 100cm high monster down the stairs and in the car and over there might be another thing. Haven't figured that out yet

Okay, so NPF is over and i am not ready yet. The covers for the top and PSU is pulling some time, but hopefully ready within one of the coming weeks. On the other hand I've decided to go for the i7-5960X instead of the i7-5930k. But did my first firstrike. Just above the 20.000 on stock! :Dhttp://www.3dmark.com/fs/6180592

Covers cut out! Just needs a little painting now. And just found out i can't demount the fans and paint them, so I might need to cover up the frame on 18 fans and then paint them. What a mess
