I don't get this really.

I have played League many times before, and I enjoy it a little just because it's a different style of gameplay then World of Tanks is or any other game. But then there are people that are REALLY hardcore League players that are almost obsessed with the game. I mean yeah I like it for something different once in a very great while. What is so attractive about the game and why do people enjoy it so much to the point of being hardcore about it?

I mean some people get payed to do it. Others just enjoy the game. I mean, sure, some people don't do it for a living, and still play 14+ hours a day, but that happens in every game.

Alright, I was just curious why it was such a popular game. Supposedly I read online that it's the most popular MOBA game out there on the net? How true of the stats they Riot sent out compared really to other MMOs?

I have no idea, I have never played. As for the obsession, it's like any other thing that people get obsessed over, it's not just League.

People say its easy to pick up and play, but difficult to master. I never really liked the genre it's really hard to learn. Makes it even worse when you don't have as much time as others do to play.

It feels like a tug of war game, it can be evenly matched throughout the game or you can screw up at the beginning or mid game. When that happens the other team can become massively over power making it near impossible to recover.

I guess when I was watching All/Chat I got so bored mid way through the episode. As I was watching it, I couldn't help but see this weird obsession that was almost like "so what? It's not that great a game". I have nothing against it, I just want to know why people like it so much the way they do.

That would be caused by a multitude of reasons, one being that its the game they found they are good at.
