When was this build made? (It looks upgraded overtime as you have a h100i, with a fairly old CPU and GPU.

Current Desktop Build | 2200G | RX 580 4GB | 8GB RAM | CTRL | Logitech G Pro Wireless

Those parts are super old.  You could've gotten way more performance for what you paid.

Get at least 8GB of RAM. Save up after that for a new mobo and CPU.

I literally bought this computer a long ass time ago at bestbuy for like 400$ and I've slowly upgraded it, so don't be hating too much on not having ram and stuff xD

My DXDIAG says I have 8GB of ram, it's just that I didn't know what ram I got so I put a random one in the part picker :P so, the motherboard and CPU should be next? do you know a good CPU for about $150?

I personally wouldn't go AMD for your next set of parts, since the FX lineup is weak. I'd take a look at this CPU (http://pcpartpicker.com/part/intel-cpu-bx80646i54440) and some kind of H97 or H87 motherboard. It will be out of your price range, but when you upgrade your GPU it will be worth it.

If I'm switching from a Asus motherboard to a Asus motherboard, will I need to re-do my operating system? I'm not usually very tech savy when it comes to that stuff.

Yup. Unfortunately, that is one of the evils of hardware swaps. But at least then you get to start fresh.

Since I bought Windows 8.1 from retail, I should be able to use the new code on the new motherboard, correct? Or will that not work?

I believe you should be able to. You might have to give Microsoft a ring later on, but that really isn't as bad as most people make it out to be.
