HELP! To Overclock my Pentium G3258 + MSI B85M-P33 V2

I have my new motherboard and processor yesterday (March 6, 2015) Intel Pentium G3258 and MSI B85M-P33 V2.

I need tips, suggestion and guide to do overclock in my system. I'm using stock HSF by the way.

My suggestion is though like everyone else will say and that is to OC with an aftermarket cooler.  I have seen people say though that this chip goes well over 4 GHz on a stock cooler but if you are a true overclocker you don't use a stock cooler.

Btw you might want to fix your title.  It is Pentium and not Pentuim.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

A decent cooler is okay, no need for any AIOs

I overclocked my G3258 right now.

-Stock cooler
-3.6GHz
-Enable X.M.P. profiles
-CPU Core Voltage 1.1

Then I use Prime95, Real Temp and CPU-Z to test if it is stable or not, and I wait in 2mins.. I think is stable, or not? Haha

By the way my specification is;

Intel Pentium G3250

MSI B85m-P33 V2

2x4GB G. Skill Ripjaws X 1600

Aerocool Strike X 500w 80+bronze for my PSU

Seagate Barracuda 500GB

I don't have yet a graphics card.

I'd test Prime95 SmallFFT for at least 20 minutes each run. Turn off the XMP profile though. Will it pass a stress test at 3.6 GHz on a lower voltage? Or did you just set it to 1.1V immediately before messing with the multiplier?

My first step is the Core Ratio that I set in 3.6GHz then enable XMP then the core voltage 1.1v thats all. Then I boot my windows and start prime95.

On mine I could get my multiplier up to x42 (4.2 GHz) on 1.1V, and I kept my uncore at stock (x33 multiplier). Make sure to turn off adaptive voltage.
