Any Watch Enthusiasts here?

DoubleDome

Just out of curiosity, I was wondering if anyone here is into luxury watches like Rolex, Omega, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet. If so, what got you hooked on watches?

I first got started when I stumbled upon this video by watch website http://www.hodinkee.com/ about a year ago. It was a video about John Mayer talking about his watch collection and his passion for watches. Ever since then, I have been delving into the world of both modern and vintage watches. Everything from limited edition watches to watches that auction for well over a million dollars. I just think it's so interesting how small details of a watch and multiply its worth ten fold.

But that's my little spiel on watches.

Heres my spiel. I'm not going to spend hundreds of dollars on something that is literally useless

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

I do. I want a nice diamond encrusted carbon fiber Michael Kors watch, but all I'm stuck with is a 120 dollar G-Shock, but that's still good. Until I fell on it and broke the retaining metal thing, which like bent 50 degrees.

I might get an Apple watch to pair with my iPhone 6 unless i can get a LG G Watch R to work properly with an iPhone 6 with full functionality.

I had a sapphire glass swiss watch with 18k gold hands and crown and diamond inlays, my dad gave it to me, I got offered 2500 for it but I gave it back since I was tempted to sell it. Other than that I have never owned any high end watches.

Rose's are red violets are blue, without computers I'd know not what to do.

I don't really wear a watch, but my dream watch would be a Rolex Submariner or Yacht Master II. But the Submariner is around $10000 and the Yacht Master II is around $20000 so I probably won't be buying them anytime soon...

I am not an enthusiast but I do love my watch. Its a G-Shock Multi-Band Solar Atomic Analog Watch, It has a solar face on it which means it recharges when im in the light, as well, every night around 4am it will link up to satellites and grab the time from a atomic clock that I chose so that it is always within 1/2 a second. Because it connects to an atomic clock, it adjusts everyday for the offset of time that happens while the earth is rotating. As well, when it connects to the atomic clock, it will pull the date, so it will tell me the month, day, year that it is and auto adjusts for daylight savings. Its not that important for me but this clock will run until the year 2099 with out me having to do a thing and it will always be on time.

Its 2:30am here so if this thread is still here and I remember it tomorrow, Ill post pictures.

I'm into watches but since the line of work I do is outdoors I tend to only wear a g shock,

later on when I'm more in the office I'll most likly get a tag and some others.

Its all about those volumetric clouds

I wish I did that sooner. I had to send in my Panerai for maintenance because it had scratches and chips.

I want to buy this and this because they look unique but i just can't find out why the makers put the knobs on the left side of the watch.
