I wanted some help since I want to start YouTubing.

Hello everyone,

I needed to know some things before I start YouTubing:

First: I have a Canon PowerShot SX170 IS and an iPhone 6. Which should I use to record?

Second: I want to edit my videos like The Gaming Lemon type. So which program should I use? And I have no experience of any kind of editing, what should I do?

Third: Even if I knew how to edit, the most powerful laptop in my house is my dad's HP ProBook 440 with Intel HD 4400.

Thanks, but what about the other questions?

Both cameras are pretty decent, but I'd go with the Canon for the convenience of being to pull the video off of an SD card as opposed to having to plug in the iPhone and sift through the files to find it. People want good visual though, and the iPhone offers better video quality to my eyes.

 

I don't know much about editing, so I can't be of help there.

use adobe cs/cc. very easy to get the hang of and very powerful, you don't need the most 1337 system to run it either.

i'd recommend doing everything yourself, you get better at using your tools and it feels like you accomplished something lol

pc specs: 4 function calculator / 8 digit lcd display / colored numeric and function buttons

I just started using Sony Vegas Pro.  I'm finding it fairly easy to use, especially with the available tutorials online.  If you sign up for the Sony Creative emails/Newsletters, they sometimes sell Vegas Pro at a 40% discount...

So, I checked out the Vegas Pro software and it was $600. That's bl**dy expensive, my parents won't get such an expensive software. I do have something called Pinnacle Studio '15 which my friend gave me but I don't know whether it's for video or pictures.

I wouldn't get adobe if I was the op. It's pretty expensive and way over his head. He really needs to find a free alternative.

should be fine, heck you could use windows movie maker if you just want to get started

 

or a dirt cheap copy of sony movie studio
