The Dirty Craig- Build #2

TheFlyingTraut

I scavenged through Craigslist for about a month putting together deals to build a mid range performance pc with the ability to run 1080p games on ultra/highest presets at a consistent 60+ fps. I achieved that and more. It is amazing what you can find on Craigslist. This whole pc was built from Craigslist deals and parts, EXCEPT the SSD which I bought new.

I thought of the pc name because of how it was put together. I'm not that smart, but I thought it was kind of cute and worthy.

i7 3930k

Asus x79 Sabertooth motherboard

8gb 1600mhz G-Skill RAM

Enermax Galaxy 1000w PSU

Enermax CPU heatsink tower

Cooler Master HF912 case

Asus GTX 770

The entire build minus the SSD cost under $650. It's crazy how cheap people will sell their stuff.

It is the rig on the left.

First build was my x99 platform. All bought new. That's the pretty red one.

thats a insane deal, add more ram, and get another 770 for the cheap, and that may be the best budget build ever

you you could resell that for an insane profit

this proves how good used parts can be, you wont find a next gen console for cheap like this on ebay, most of the time they are more

I have a few emails sent out for other 770's in my area. I paid $120 for that Asus one. I'm trying to get another.

More pictures perhaps? I'm interested to see how it looks.

I will open the beast tomorrow and get more pictures. The cable management was about the best I could do with a semi modular. Not all black cables :(.

Also, I did have to zip tie the 6/8 pin connectors on the 770 because of the bad drooping/sagging on the card. Just bad design with the backplate not being attached to all the right points. So that is the only thing that looks out of line.
