Is 50 degrees ok for my CPU while in gaming?

Hey guys... want some insights about my current CPU temp.

I notice that sometime when i'm in game it reaches 50 to 51 degrees.

My CPU is an Intel i3-3220 3.30GHz, and i'm on the stock fan that came with it.

I have no budget for buying aftermarket CPU cooler coz i'm a student, you know gotta pay some bills here in there :)

Thanks for any help and advices :)

Yes, that is perfectly fine.

Anything under 72c would be considered safe for me.

It's ok just try not to max out the tdp temps. You should be fine, running really cool underload.

I'd say anything less than 75-80*C is safe. My chip personally never gets hotter than 60*C, and that was very recently when I dove into the Folding@Home... sub-forum.

Since its only i3 anyway, stock cooler is enough for it, even if it would get bit hotter. So noise is only reason for you to start saving for small air cooler like 212 evo.
