What is the selected sound device on Fraps? Have you changed anything between now and then? Are sounds in general working?

Ok. Thats bit odd. Have you tried to reinstall yet? If that doesn't help, I'm out of ideas. Fraps isn't the goto recording software for me anymore.

Dxtory is a clear winner if you intend to edit your videos afterwards. It lets you record to different channels so you can adjust your game and voice volume separately. Also you can use whatever codec you want which will allow you to get the best quality needed.
