No Amazon Packaging?

Statik

Hey guys,

So a while back I purchased a NEEWER microphone boom for my yeti.http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00DFUEZZI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00

The estimated date for delivery was March 20th, to April 3rd. Yet it was in my mailbox when I got home this morning? It also was not in your standard amazon box, it was in a bag. Has anyone ever seen this before?

Also, does anyone know where I can find setup instructions for these products? It's extremely self explanatory, except for the fact I don't exactly know how to attach the boom arm to the clamp? I know which end it attaches to, but it just looks weird, and I'm not sure if I'm doing it how I'm suppose to.

Anyways, now that I know that it did indeed come with a 3/8-5/8 adapter (and the one I ordered was useless), I'll try to set it up tomorrow, and if I have issues attaching the clamp to the boom I'll post a few pictures before work.

What mic do you have? How does it handle the weight?

Also, how does the clamp attach to the arm? If my description skills are any good, does the screw/knob screw through both the holes on the arm itself, and on the clamp?

Samson C01U, and it handles the weight perfectly :)

Not sure, maybe we got different models. For my arm I just slid the clamp in and it was good to go, no screws involved :/

The reason why it wasn't an Amazon box was because it wasn't Amazon that shipped it.

"Ships from and sold by Eshopic."

@Statik Based on pictures as I don't own either of these products yet I would guess you unscrew the collar that is on it already and then screw the yeti onto the threads that the collar was originally on. If the threads are different you might need to figure out an adapter or duct tape cause if the women don't find you handsome they should at least find you handy.

Yeah, I have that part on lock, waiting for a 3/8 to 5/8 adapter for my yeti.

What I was talking about was the opposite end.

These are my pieces, and I'm not 100% on how they go together.

The screw fits in the hole on the clamp fine, but it does not fit into the slit on the actual boom arm itself, and when I slide the boom arm into that clamp piece, it's loose and my mic can wobble around. let me know if that doesn't make sense.

looks like that screw is just meant to rub on the inner piece and not go through that notch otherwise you would be limiting the rotation. I would just tighten enough to stop the wobble and call it good.

I work for Amazon. You didn't buy it FROM Amazon, you got it ON Amazon. ALL Amazon Fulfillment Centers use boxes or what we call "Jiffy's" which are bubble wrapped, brown, envelopes and these are ONLY used for small items like gift cards, DVDs or CDs, cell phone cases, and so on.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

Makes sense. Though I've never gotten bubble wrap from amazon. It's always been some shitty brown paper.

This product is not in "Amazon Fulfilled" category. It's just coming from a different seller.

That might work. I wonder what is the point of the slot then? I think I've also seen videos where the arm can rotate from side to side? I'll see about getting it set up tomorrow or Saturday in a good place, and see if/how it can turn, and if I can get it nice and snug.

This is what our "Jiffy" packages look like. If it isn't in this, or a box, it DID NOT come from a Amazon FC (unless you order something like a canoe).

If I were you I'd just ignore it. If you have the boom already it doesn't really matter.

Okay, understand that when you buy something ON Amazon doesn't mean it CAME FROM Amazon. Amazon can only be responsible for orders that they sell. Now as a Amazonion we will make sure to give you that "A to Z" guarantee that you will be taken care of from start to finish, but it comes at our own expense. Personally, when I am shopping on Amazon, I will ALWAYS select "Amazon.com" as the only option under sellers. The only time I will ever buy something from a third party is if they are the only ones selling it, or it is on a MAJOR discount. See the pictures below.

Just because Amazon ships the package, doesn't mean we sold it either. Often times another company will send us their products so we can ship it for them. It saves the company the time and hassle of warehousing their products and also gives their customer Prime shipping.
