Is Intel XTU good for stress testing an overclock?

UltraNeonGaming

I'm currently over clocking and I want to know if Intel XTU is a good program for stress testing my overclock, should I use Aida64 instead? Or is Intel XTU's stress testing tab okay?

I am not over clocking from XTU I am OCing from bios, currently I have 4.5GHz on 1.2volts, with offset voltage set to - (Can go up to 1.219v sometimes) [4790k with NH-U14s]

Thanks!

In my experience Intel XTU is better for temperature testing (it's load temps are pretty close to actual gaming temps)

However Aida64 is the best stress tester imo

Alright, thanks! Temps are max at 62c with these voltages, (on an air cooler!) so they are really good :)

^I second this. Aida64 is best stress tester.

You should use several tests to verify stable OC. For me its currently XTU (changed from IBT) and OCCT.
