Intel partners with Raptr for PC Gaming Optimization

Intel announced a partnership to deliver an even better gaming experience on Intel Graphics. Raptr, a leading PC gaming utility now available on Intel Graphics for the first time, delivers one-button customized optimizations that improve performance on existing hardware and the games being played, even older games. With just a little tweaking of their PC settings a user may be able to dial up the frame rate and details or even play a game they didn’t think possible.

 

 

The Raptr software scans the user’s PC and compares a given game’s performance across tens of millions of other gamers’ PCs, finding and applying the best settings for their Raptr Record system. And Raptr’s gameplay recording tools leverage the video encoding in Intel® Quick Sync technology to record and stream gameplay with virtually no impact on system performance. Good to see Intel getting some of the extra bonus features that AMD and Nvidia users have available. This will be useful for the sizeable chunk of casual gamers on notebooks who never update their drivers and don't understand graphics options.

Good. Intel's HD4000 and 3000 I think are the most popular GPUs on steam survey and most of those users probably don't know how to adjust graphics settings.

It has? I've not noticed a single change to it. I guess the regular version must be different to the AMD gaming evolved version.

i used the amd evolved version but there is barely a difference, its pretty much a skin chance, the largest benefit is that compatibility is a lot better and the app is way faster also using less resources.

I have it running but not really for any reason. it's recommendations are sometimes wildly wrong for my hardware and it even suggests weird none existent resolutions at times well it does for me in shadows of mordor it suggest 3 less vertical pixels making it some weird not quite 1080p res. I'm not sure if it just gets confused with crossfire setups or what(so wont effect it with intel HD). I'm not a big fan of it's recording function and the way it records compared to something like overwolf or fraps. but other then that I don't really have an issue. (you're right it's not resource heavy at all)  I guess for intel HD it'll be pretty easy just set everything to low lol.
