Does anyone like Assassins Creed Unity?

Guest

I recently downloaded it for PC. I did play it for a bit on console but never finished it.

Giving it a second chance though, I must say I'm actually having fun with it.

Capped it at 30 fps, high settings, 1080p. No lag, stutters, fps drops. Pop-in present but limited.

I've seen few games recieve as much hate on the internet as this one, but honestly I'm really enjoying it. Am I the only one?

Yeah, 2 of my friends do.

They both play PS4.

I dunno, couldn't care less about the Assassins' Creed games to be honest

I only play games like Assassin's Creed because of the storyline, not even the gameplay anymore. For me playing Assassin's Creed is like watching a movie, that said, most people hate it because of 30 fps cap and other technical stuff. Storyline > Gameplay anyday.

Just another overhyped AAA game in my eyes.

No stuttering or fps drops? r u avin a giggle m8?  The game runs like utter shite, at least for me.

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Arguing with religious people is like explaining to your mother that online games can't be paused...

It was alright, my computer also didn't have any issue running it either. I liked Blackflag better though.

Am I the only one around here who really doesn't like pcpartpicker?
I also like Ubisoft and Origin/EA
Guess I'm just odd that way.

He capped it to 30fps.

Something none of us are likely to do for Unity.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

It was well worth it actually. I could hit about 45 fps but it varied so much that I couldn't stand the inconsistency. Limit your fps to 30 and it actually is perfectly smooth (If you can stand fps below 60 fps that is).

Yeah I kinda can't stand it.. but as I dip under 60fps I should give it a try to remove the variance I'm getting.

But I can lock it a little higher so it's a non-issue.

NFS Rivals felt like such a shitpig running locked at 30fps so I unlocked it and forced 33fps, and it made a world of difference believe it or not...

Will try Unity as well.

lol. They're a little out of control with their sequels I'm not denying it. Unity is worth the play, it's more challenging and intellectual than the others. The AI still needs work though - just because you can die from getting shot once doesn't mean the NPC doing the shooting is smart in the slightest.

I believe you that a few fps either direction can make an improvement and I think that depends on the game. I went with 30 to keep it at a multiple of my 60 hz monitor. Another sign for me that I had it set in a good place was looking at MSI afterburner... all 4 cores and my GPU bouncing between 50-90% usage is well balanced hardware utilization in my books.

Yeah they have 21 AC games so far and another one on the way. :D I just wait for them to go on sale. Is there another series out there with more games than AC and still releasing them?

That said, most people hate it because of 30 fps cap and other technical stuff.

There is no 30FPS cap in Assassin's Creed, its always support up to 60 and a few of them have no cap, I don't think Unity has a cap but Black Flags was capped at 62

Storyline > Gameplay anyday.

Yeah, its perfectly fine to think that way, but i think gameplay is the reason to make a game.

As Far as the actual games

1:   9/10

2:   6/10

BR: 5/10

RE: 5/10

3:   7/10

IV:  6/10

Unity looks to be an improvement from Black Flags as far as gameplay goes

Intel i5-3570K/ Gigabyte GTX 1080/ Asus PA248Q/ Sony MDR-7506/MSI Z77A-G45/ NHD-14/Samsung 840 EVO 256GB+ Seagate Barracuda 3TB/ 16GB HyperX Blue 1600MHZ/  750w PSU/ Corsiar Carbide 500R

Yep, I really liked it the only things I didn't like were tech issues.(Also capped it at 30fps worked fine on Ultra that way)

I like this game and it runs quite well on my PC. 45-60 at 1920x1200 is not bad at all.

There are only 2 things that i don't like about it.

First, frame drop

It happens sometimes if i jump from roof to crowd. But not happen that much anyway.

Second, dodging shot.

It's not a hard thing to do but if u're finish fighting thugs and u already put your sword back to your belt and then someone with gun shows up while u're not in a fight stance, u're absolutely can't dodge that shot even if that shooter is right in front of your nose. WTF!

Even if it had released with no technical problems at all, it would still be another boring, janky, easy Ubisoft open-world game set in a tragically interesting environment that was wasted on a game of this caliber. Assassin's Creed isn't even the best example of it's own style of combat and parkour anymore.

Worse, I simply cannot forgive that post-launch review embargo garbage, especially in light of all the technical problems that it actually did launch with.

I'm shocked that anyone likes Assassin's Creed at all anymore. The first two were fantastic, I couldn't put them down. After that it just kinda sucked.

MSI Afterburner can do it, using the OSD settings.
