What phone do you currently use?

AStateOfTrance

Title is self explanatory, what phone do you currently use and why?

I work at T-Mobile so I'm always switching around devices. Currently I'm using the iPhone 6 plus, Been using it for about 3 months now and I love the simplicity of it. My usual time of holding a phone is about a month. I've had everything you can imagine but for some reason I cant give up the 6 plus yet! Really excited for the HTC ONE M9 and I can get my seeded device from HTC :D

Bottom line of my sig. Nexus 6. Previously the 5, then the 4, then the G1 w/ Google (was HTC, iirc.) from before that, only dumb phones.

A Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Apps crash all the time, and I have to sometimes press things in the browser 20 times for it to go to that page. The screen on battery life is also terrible. :/ I'm hopefully going to buy either the Asus Zenfone 2 or the OnePlus One soon.

HTC One M8. When it came out it was (in my eyes) the best phone out there overall. The camera does more than well enough for what I need so that wasn't an issue.

Before that it was a second-hand Galaxy Nexus, which I'm now using as a backup/reserve phone and as a ghetto-mounted webcam for my PC. Hardware hacks are fun :P Before that was a second-hand Incredible S (man those rotating buttons were cool, but it looked like it had come out of a vacuum former) and before that it was a Sony Ericsson I bought for £30 as a replacement for the really old LG slide phone I had (which had a really cool darts game using the gyroscope).

The M9 looks like it may be a little too big for me - I previously stood by 4-4.5" being the sweet spot, but the M8 has pushed that up to 5" and any bigger is ridiculous unless you're Luke :P

I know what you mean about the battery life. Leave it off (and disconnected from Wifi because damn that drains) and it'll happily sit for weeks. Try and use it for anything and it'll do a maximum of 5 hours with all data and stuff turned off. It's about 1%/min drain when on Youtube.

Having a phone that lasts 2+ days depending on usage is such a nice feeling after that.

Put the Google Play Edition Rom on your M8, life changer

Thanks for reminding me to use airplane mode between lessons, should make it last a bit longer. What I most use it for is watching YouTube videos, even with a very low brightness it can still not do more than two and a half hours, and I have to plug a charger in. :/

Anyways, I'm exited to having a bit longer battery life, and opening WhatsApp in less then 10 seconds (sometimes it does that, very irritating...)

HTC windows phone 8S. I've got the latest dev preview on it for WP 8.1 which gets past all of the major issues I had with the device (Not being able to save apps to the SD card, no cortana etc) But it's too small for me with a 4" screen, the windows phone store lacks snapchat, which is the one damn app I need to say it has everything I use, and the battery has just this week started running out of charge incredibly fast even when locked. Hoping to upgrade to the one M9 when it finally is released, or to the zenfone 2 if the pricing is right.
