Monitor Recommendations

Buckah

Hey guys,

Hopefully going to buy a monitor when i get paid here. Was originally going to go for a 144hz monitor of some description as a friend got a BenQ one very reasonable. But I've decided to maybe go with a 27" 1080P, Anyone any recommendations? Or can give me a heads up on what the minimum specs should be if I'm going to be using it for gaming?

Thanks.

is there a big difference in quality between 1080 and 1440?

The only real difference is pixel density. The pixel density of a 27" monitor at 1080p is about 81 ppi, vs 108 ppi for 1440p.

You don't really want your pixel density to fall below 100 ppi. At larger screen sizes, you start seeing more detail in the screen, so higher pixel density has it's advantages.
