Last night I downloaded warframe and played for about an hour. Enjoyed the opening and I did one mission. How is it later on? Is it p2w? Anyone wanna play with me? :D

I don't think it's p2w, but it can get a bit grindy I must say, especially when you want a new class, but that is just my opinion. It can get really repetitive though, which is the reason I stopped playing just after 70 hours.

I got into it real quick, spend quite some hours and haven't touched it again for a couple of months. It actually is quite good, but gets repetitive fast.

I think that's one common misconception about Warframe. I like to think of it as pay to progress faster, as literally almost everything can be gotten without paying. You only pay to skip the grind. Eventually a free player will still be just as good as someone who pays.

It's like free Destiny with different looks.

Extremely grindy if you don't pay.

Anyone who has a sister hates the fact that his sister isn't Kasugano Sora.
Anyone who does not have a sister hates the fact that Kasugano Sora isn't his sister.
I'm not insulting anyone; I'm just being condescending. There is a difference, you see...

Some people take the stance that progression is "winning," so by that rather loose definition, Warframe (and nearly every game with microtransactions) could be seen as pay-to-win.

I personally think that's bullshit. It's hard to argue that Warframe isn't worth downloading just to check out. You really don't have to get much out of it to justify the cost of free.

It's a good game, however have in mind that some things may be confusing, so i suggest you watch videos on youtube how to mod your weapons and warframe. It is NOT may to win as others say, since you can trade platinum for items with other players, meaning that you can also make platinum when selling rare mods and items you dont need. It does get very repetitive at times, especially if you go to those Towers (I, II, III and IV) to find Prime items, this is when you need to make sure you know what you are doing...

I think it is pretty decent. The biggest problem I have with it and many other f2p games, is the that progression can be very slow for a free player. One good thing about is that you can trade a lot of end game gear to other players for platinum (the real money currency) and get stuff that you normally need to pay for.  My suggestion is try it and see if you like it.

It will never be pay to win as the whole point of the game is to go out an collect resources to build weapons and characters..if you pay money and buy them then you are defeating the whole purpose of the game.

It gets mostly fun when you hit the void/derelict and when new quests and/or community events are added. However, some of the missions are frustrating (Not pointing out any names, but archwing.)

It's not really pay-to-win, unless you think winning in style is pay-to-win, then yes, buying color schemes would make it pay-to-win.

If you need some help you can add me. My in game name is, alphaglock.

I generally play an hour or so a day while I wait between building items and ect.

And I should note, i'm not to grand at the game compared to most people who are my mastery rank. The modding system is a lot of work to keep up with.

its a free to play game. You can buy everything in the game with money or just unlock by gameplay. it gets repetitive to me. its not a bad game to play every now and again

It's not pay to win, but paying makes some things easier in game. A bit grindy but you feel rewarded for it.

Creeping up on a thousand hours in game myself, I find it better than most AAA games.

Fun at first, turns into a grind fest, wants your money for the 'cool' stuff.

It doesn't want your money for the cool stuff at all.

You can spend money to buy platinum which can be used to buy things in game..you can trade stuff with gamers in game in return for platinum.

Everything you can buy with platinum can be made in the game for free apart from cosmetics and slots

Example..every gun/weapon needs a blue print..a blue print costs credits (the currency which you earn very easily in game)

You then go out and collect resources to build the items in the blue print.

A character needs a blue print which again is bought with in game credits (which once again you earn very easily)

But to get the character parts off the blueprint you have to go and fight the particular boss related to that character.

the only main grinds are prime weapons and characters.

This is because they are located in voide missions and because there are so many of them it's hard to get the particular body part/ weapon part you need.

But for the parts that you collect that you don't want you can trade with the other players for the parts you reuire..or sell the parts for platinum.

That is warframes economy in a nut shell and is far from wanting you to actually spend money on it.

The game gives you 50 platinum at the start. Use that to buy warframe and weapon slots.

Edit..also it takes 3 days to build one character which at first is a bit much...But keep going out and fighting various bosses and building more character at the same time..this will ensure you will be leveling up characters whilst you wait or the others to finish...

exactly the same story for weapons to apart from they take 12 and some 24 hours.

Once you get the ball rolling the content just piles in uncontrollably.

Edit 2...warframe wiki is a beast and will tell you exactly which boss to farm for character parts and which void missions to play for character parts/weapon parts (void is prime gear)

Yeah that's one thing which I don't agree on. In my opinion a true P2W game is something like Swordsman Online. Paying tons of money to get gear that F2P players would never be able to get in a reasonable time frame.

it's a nice game. It's not what you say p2w but, like other say you need grind to progress. a lot of grind. also you need friend, cause it's a co-op game. i reach 38 hours on it. It's a great game.

The gameplay is solid when you get the hang of it.

But it is quite grindy if you do not want to spend money
