Is the Dell U2715H worth it?

FlameAssault

That's a pretty high price if it's in USD. What region are you in?

I'm in Australia, so it's AUD.

I had its older/younger brother(not sure) the Dell U2713HM

it has backlight bleeding on all 4 corners and it's really noticeable in dark/black situations. I returned it right after

I'm not sure if this one has the same problem

not my pic but it's also the Dell U2713HM with the same problem this series might have the same problems

The U2414H monitors are great if that's any indication, but that is a pretty high price. If you've got the cash, I don't think there's many other options if you really like the extremely thin bezel.

The thickness of the bezel doesn't bother me and i'm looking for a 1440p monitor and that ones 1080p. Thanks for the help though :)

Hey everyone, I am planning on getting a Dell U2715H 27in UltraSharp IPS LED Monitor and would like to know if they are worth it. I will be buying it off PC Case Gear for $679.00 Any response is highly appreciated :)

I have it's 1080p lil brother, the U2414H. It's great. I highly doubt you will regret this purchase. :)

TFT Central did a complete review and testing on it right here —> http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/content/benq_bl3200pt.htm#intro

Linus also did a review of it.

Thats what i'll be getting. My parents are putting in $3000 and i'll be painting the GPU as i'm going for a red and black theme :)

  • Don't buy a BlackWidow - the switches are horrible (used a Thermaltake keyboard using the same switches for 3 months at work)
  • Why X99? Why Not Z97 with SLI'd GPU's instead?
  • Go Phobya strips over Thermaltake due to better adhesive and better LED's
  • ROG boards are overrated - I own one
  • Go the G502 over the deathadder
  • Also there is a 4K version of the BenQ. May also want to see one in the flesh before you buy it - quite big

I will take these into consideration. Thanks, also what keyboard would you suggest?

EDIT: I might get this monitor instead.

Consider a Ducky legend and that monitor has a very high failure rate

I want a keyboard that I can customise a fair bit and the 4k BenQ is out of my price range so ill stick with the 1440p BenQ

The benefit of using a AMVA (Advanced Multi-demain Vertical Alignment) monitor, like the BenQ BL3200PT, is that you'll get next to no backlight bleeding or IPS glow. You may get, what's referred to as, VA glow, but it's not really noticeable at all. Plus you'll get really nice black levels, a great 3,000 to 5,000:1 static contrast ratio and nice deep saturated colours. :)
