Wireless USB adaptor for Linux based OS...

thatguy321

So I've been messing with some Linux distro's on my old Gateway M-1617 laptop and getting the wireless card to work has been a bitch. It requires window drivers, it's not the easiest fix (did get it to work for a little while), and would be a reoccurring problem with every update/distro change.

So the question is, does anyone use the Think Penguin Wireless USB adapter? Is it plug and play? How's the quality/function?

Seems like the simplest solution to my problems.

most newer usb adapters will work natively.  If you check reviews on sites such as newegg, you'll have at least a couple people confirm that said adapter works in linux.

Yeah, such as the ASUS USB-N13, but then I've also read of people having issue with them as well.

Maybe I'll just buy and return till I find one that works...
