So im thinking about getting evolved since I have spring break next week and finally have time to game. Is it worth the pick up?

DLC quest master 2015 is boring imo anyway, I played the beta/alpha and it was just meh.

On a steam sale maybe, total biscuit said it's great as either a 20 dollar game or could have been a fantastic free to play game.

Evolve is only really worth playing if you can play with others. Shadow of Mordor is a great game, good nemesis system that keeps the game fresh, I'd get SOM instead.

its good if you have friends, if you don't its terrible. as you'll end up playing with people who don't co operate and you'll end up spending 20 mins hunting the monster then a few seconds of fighting and then you'll lose it again due to a poor trapper and spend another 20mins running around to find it. By then the monster will evolve into level 3 and hunt you all down and kill you!

I sure wouldn't buy it at $59.99. Maybe when it's cheaper, but I have to wonder if it's still going to have an active multiplayer scene by then. It doesn't look to me like it's even got the longevity of Titanfall.

currently the season pass isn't worth it, its just a bunch of skins.

All the DLC and pre-order nonsense aside, the main problem of the game is its radomness. As TB said, you'll have great games and games where you think that you are playing a walking simulator. And there will be a lot of games that you have lost right from the start because one of your team mates does not know how to play his role.

 

I wouldn't recommend it to buy it right now even if you have a group of friends who would join you. I guess the right time to pick it up, if at all, is the steam summer sale. By then the player base will be heavily diminished. So I expect some good discounts.
