Copy-paste slow/loading with Word 2007

LogicalDrm

This has been happening for a while now and is starting to get annoying. Everytime I copy-paste something I get loading symbol and it thinks for few secs. Yeah, not long but with my main rig (specs in profile) it shouldn't take even so long.

Office is installed on HDD and this happens both with documents on flash drive or on HDD. It hasn't been happening for long, maybe month or two. I have done several system cleans with ASC and CCleaner, without much effect.

So any help is much appreciated. (Copy-paste being fastest way to place references when they are foreign names or include special symbols)

I did some searching and someone had the same problem and it fixed when they updated their Anti-virus (which was AVG) from version 8.0. Other than that, if I was in this situation I wold of done what you did and try cleaning. This may sound odd, but when loading and copying and pasting, have a look at your CPU and your RAM usage and see if that is the problem as well?

CPU: i5 4670k @ 3.4GHz + Corsair H100i      GPU: Gigabyte GTX 680 SOC (+215 Core|+162 Mem)     SSD: Kingston V300 240GB (OS)      Headset: Logitech G930

Case: Cosair Vengance C70 (white)                RAM: 16GB TeamGroup Elite Black DDR3 1600MHz       HDD: 1TB WD Blue                              Mouse: Logitech G602

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium                       PSUXFX Core Edition 750w                                                Motherboard: MSI Z97-G45               Keyboard: Logitech G510

I haven't looked at usage. But the thing with AV sounds worth of trying. I have Avast and have had problems with its real-time protection thing previously unrelated. So I'll see if that helps.

Is the document formatted?

Any colours or anything like that?

Have you copy and pasted anything from the internet?

Send me the document if its not private and I'll fix it. I deal with this on a daily basis, All I do is copy the text, paste into another keeping source formatting and it usually fixes it.

It's somewhat formatted. I use some different fonts etc. that makes it easier to see how it will look like in final version. I use Google Docs for my notes so I copy refs there. Always paste as plain text only.

So far I've eliminated Avast as problem, also CPU/RAM usage doesn't change while the loading icon is on. It is also happening on several documents, both on HDD and flash drive. Some with only basic formatting and which have worked fine before. Feels like it will be time to reinstall whole Office package.
