How is Battlefield HL?

Well I am only interested in buying it if it is legitimately a good game.

From a few of my recent threads you will know I'm bored on PC at the moment, but I am a large fan of the BF franchise.

It's fun, like BF4.... Very much like BF4. 

 

It does feel a bit more Call of Duty-ish with things like gold guns. I'm undecided as to if I'll buy it or not. I recently passed level 100 on BF4, so I'm starting to get a bit bored of all the same guns and maps.

A big fan of BFH after playing the Beta !

The beta was surprisingly stable even though it is a successor to the BF4 game ......I enjoyed the time I spent in the Beta and look forward to playing the game when it gets on sale of some sort .

after playing the beta I canceled my pre order. I will pick it up at half price in a few months.

Its really fun!. Reminds me of BF:BC2/BF2 with how silly things can be with it. A good game but not worth full price, wait for sales.

Liked it more than BF3 and BF4. Seems much faster, and I really like Hardwire. The gametype with the two armoured trucks from the first test was good too.

 

.44 Magnum is kinda OP, so are sniper rifle magnum rounds too apparently.

 

Think I'll buy it at the end of the month.

Beta was pretty fun, although I didn't like the maps all that much, and I hated the music in the cars (Seriously, worst soundtrack ever)

 

Gonna wait until the price drops WAY down before even considering getting it though.

Honestly I feel in my *OP* visceral games so far has made a better battlefield than Dice has with BF4.

Beta online gameplay FOR ME AND MY FRIENDS *this varies obviously*...was and to this day is smother than BF4.

The cars w/ the ability to change music and stick yourself out of the window for a drive by were so much fun on dust bowl. like alot more fun than i had first thought.

this could have been due to playing w/ friends but man i had alot of laughs and close calls :lol:.

I really liked the money system in the game but could use a bit of tweaking. same with the class balance.

assault class still seems to have the best lot of guns along with medpack.

The guys over at Visceral have great easter eggs..i know its kinda irrelevant but its good creativity.

those secret reloads are pretty cool and something thats never really been done before. atleast I dont think.

You can also tag your emblem on a wall witch i thought was pretty neat :lol:

there was one game mode that was pretty dumb,hotwire.

needs to be more balenced as in you actually have to hotwire the car before you can just drive off and start capping.

like maybe capping the car would be like hotwireing it so you had to cap the car before you drive off...and just make it like 20-30 secounds to cap it.

also there needs to be alot less cars to cap...way to many all over the place.

I thought the xp specific bonus's you get from battlepacks were pretty shity and might as well have made them just overall xp

and alot became useless.

But i love how an objective is now an entire area and not just a circle jerk around a flag.

I think if visceral doped the price 10-20 bucks on launch (witch i doubt will ever happen) it would really give Dice a run for there money (not that there trying to).

Also that pre-oreder deal is a real slap to the face with those XP specific bonus's they give you.

this isnt like COD thats for sure....not sure where people get that idea from ..but it is defiantly a bit more fast paced than BF4...But when you think about it Dust bowl isnt that big compared to other BF maps so that could have been why it seemed a little fast paced...take this all with a grain of salt i mean it was only the beta. but a pretty polished one at that.

Personally I thought the beta was fun and Visceral have changed it up enough to warrant it being a separate game from BF4. That being said, I still don't think it is worth the full asking price. I will probably get it down the line when it is like $30.

Was (maybe still is) half price on G2A.com couple of days ago. Not premium version of course. Go check and u don't have to wait few months.

I'll happily spend £20 on it. I'm getting bored of getting screwed over by helis and vehicles in BF4.
