Is a Thermaltake 450w litepower good enough for a GTX 960?

Go to solution Solved by Dexterity,

yes 450W is good enough for your current system and is good enough for the gtx960 upgrade. The gtx900 series gpu are very power efficient and it probably uses same amount of power as your HD7750 or less :P

Hey there guys,
I need some help. I've been thinking of upgrading my GPU. I currently have a HD 7750. Yeah... not so good ;-;

Would a Thermaltake 450w litepower be enough to power a GTX 960?

My System Specs:

  • AMD FX 6300
  • AMD 760G mobo (Gigabyte GA78LMT)
  • 2x TEAM DARK 4GB Ram modules
  • 500GB Samsung HD503HI
  • 1x Optical Drive
  • Sapphire HD 7750

So, will it work?  :( With a GTX 960? Or better yet a 970? T_T

Thanks a lot guys :3 Just ordered it  :D

Okay, my friend keeps telling me the Thermaltake Litepower isn't a good PSU :|

It's this one. So, is it good?  :(

it does look like a non 80plus psu. which mean its probably older. how many years old is that powersupply?

but your system doesnt seem to draw too much power over all so it should be fine.

The only bad thing is that maybe that psu wont protect your system if it ever fries or dies from a power outage.
