Buying first high-end computer and need help!

Hello, I have saved up 2,500.00 to buy my first top end gaming computer and want to reach ultra graphics 1080p and 144 FPS on most if not all decently optimized games..

I was thinking 2 970 sli, i7 4790k 4.0 to 4.4 turbo, SSD, and 8gb ram.. What do you think?

* help would be appreciated.

** realistically i would like to see 120+ fps at all times if possible.

Is it possible for you to wait until Q2 (June-ish time) to build it? There's supposed to be some bad ass GPUs coming then.

I certainly don't recommend SLI 970s. If you absolutely need a 970 then just buy one at first. Don't go straight to SLI.

Well i'm trying to get a nice set-up before GTA 5 comes out.. Would love to get a full 120+ fps for my 144hz monitor with GSYNC by then..

Also, please don't repost.

I think it will hold up to a decent enough FPS, though like said above wait till Q2, and *hopefully* the good GPUs will come.

I can make a quick pcpartpicker list if you want containing the items.

Edit: in that case if you reallyyy want it before GTA V, Then yah.. Though still imo i would wait till the new GPUs. Or at least get a simple machine that can run GTA V for a while and then get a new Gpu and sell your old GPU to help get that money back for the new one. Or something.

Intel i5-6600k (Cooled by a 212 evo) - Asus Z170-A - Asus Dual OC GTX 1060 - NZXT S340 - WD 1TB (Getting SSD this month, hopefully) - 8GB DDR4-2400

LG G4 - Asus Zenwatch 2

Even though the 970 is pretty beast. Something in me still says it won't remain +120 fps at all times. We'll have to see how the game runs. But ya wait a bit my dude, there be some great GPUs on the horizon!

PC Audio Setup = Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro 80 ohm and Sennheiser pc37x (also for xbox) hooked up to Schiit Fulla 3
