I need some help with crossfire

Hey there,

I want a small upgrade for my rig, but I'm not sure how to do it.

And because of that I have a few questions about crossfire and I hope you can answer them!

1.

I own this Card: http://www.ebay.de/itm/XFX-ATI-Radeon-HD-7870-2048-MB-FX-787A-CDFC-Grafikkarte-/221691392267?pt=DE_Elektronik_Computer_Computer_Graphikkarten&hash=item339dd6310b

could I use this card for crossfire?

http://www.ebay.de/itm/XFX-ATI-Radeon-HD-7870-2048-MB-FX-787A-CN-Grafikkarte-/151598323692?pt=DE_Elektronik_Computer_Computer_Graphikkarten&hash=item234bf6d7ec

2.

Could I use cards from other manufacturer? (ASUS / Gigabyte)

3.

Is it worth it? Whats your opinion?'

Thanks!

- Lukas

yes! unless you can get a card thats as powerful as both for slightly more. I even crossfire my 7950 with a 7970. Works well, and you can use it from any manufacturer. Mine are diffrent cards, and diffrent PCbs, diffrent manufacturers. Even running at different clock speeds. and the 7970 is running at pci 2 4x.

and it works just fine. If you can get a good price, go for it! just make sure your power supply is up to the task. I had to get a new one, but my cards are power hungry.
