Mechanical Keyboard

Lolzious

Why hello!

I'm in search of a mechanical keyboard.

I'm not really sure what switch I should get either. I would prefer a clicky tactile switch, that's good for typing (don't care so much for gaming, I can game on anything). Preferably Cherry MX, but I don't really mind

As for the keyboard, I don't really care about brand, as long as it's $100-$150 CAD. Back lighting and a wrist wrest would be preferable, too.

(also, if this makes a difference, I find laptop keyboards amazing to type on, so maybe something with a similar-ish layout, with the keys close together?)

Thanks so much!

It seems like Cherry MX Blue's or Browns are your best bet, I myself have a K70 in browns and it love it.

Other good ones are: G710+, Ducky Keyboards

I was looking at clears or greens, but they're hard to find

Thanks for the suggestion, though! I'll check them out.

WASD Code (clears and greens) CM storm (greens and a bunch of other choices). You should go to a local computer store and test out the switches or get a switch tester.

KUL ES-87 w/ Cherry MX Brown or Clear or Green switches.

http://elitekeyboards.com/products.php?sub=keyed_up_labs,tenkeyless

There's no back-lighting, but the keyboards are ten key-less if you like the smaller laptop like keyboard layout. They also fit your budget with some of the more exotic cherry switch options.

You can also find KUL keyboards on Amazon.

Thank you guys!

I have ended up settling with MX Reds, since this is my first time with a mechanical keyboard, I didn't want to go too crazy and get a bad impression. But I just bought a Corsair K95 for $130 CAD, and as long as it is better than this (http://static.trustedreviews.com/94/d35359/9d0b/8709-microsoftwirelesskeyboard6000.jpg), my current keyboard, then I'm happy. Haha

Thanks again guys ;)
