a 9590 is an overclocked 8320 so get that instead and overclock it yourself

sadly even I have to admit the FX series is dead :(

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

CPU > AMD FX-9590 4.7GHz 8-Core processor

Why the 9590?

Am I the only one around here who really doesn't like pcpartpicker?
I also like Ubisoft and Origin/EA
Guess I'm just odd that way.

HATER OF MAIL IN REBATES!

1. quote people so they get a notification

2. make sure the motherboard is a z97 one

3. consider the EVGA G2

But a 4790k is almost $100 more. Honestly, the 220W freaks people out more than it should. The processor stays cool. AMD has much better TIM than intel, so their processors (despite consuming much more power) stay pretty cool. Also, most people forget that high end graphics cards (780ti, 290, 290x) consume 200+W themselves. It is really nothing to freak out over. The 9590 is a great CPU.

I got mine for $220

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

Also, I would go i5 if the build is just for gaming. You'd be better off saving the $100 or spending it on the graphics card. You will only lose 1-2 fps going i5 over i7, but you could gain 10-20% better fps by getting a $100 better GPU, depending on the price of the first GPU.

he wants to make AMD build, so are there any AMD equivalent to what you said?

The i7 4790K might be $100 more, but by the time you factor in the cost of a high end cooler for the 9590, and a board that won't melt then the price difference is negligible.

I'm going to be extremely blunt; AMD processors are shit for gaming. Absolutely and positively, anybody who says otherwise is just trying to justify their waste of money.

If you want to waste money, do it right and make your build as sexy as humanly possible. Here's a black/white themed build.

Because we don't want the dude to waste his bloody money.

Power consumption aside, the 9590 smokes the 4690k in any multi threaded application.

not games, and barely beats it, a xeon e3 w/ hyperthreading is about the same or cheaper, and better in almost always

It's not fanboy-ism, it's fact. Preferring AMD is being a fanboy.

You better take a closer look at post #5

Also you are the one sounding like a fanboy. You can get an i7 for the cost of a 9590 and high end cooler/board.
