Why is my FireStrike so low?

SimonWhite

Hows your fps in games?

Are you asking me that? I don't own a R290 personally. I have a 980 QQ.  But I have friends who get comparable results to 970. It's just louder (AMD lel) but if you don't care about that kinda stuff why should it matter to you.

Intel 4790 K - R9 295X2 - Gigabyte Z97-SLI - Corsair Vengeance Pro Black 1866 CAL9 - Corsair HX 1000 -Samsung 850 EVO SSD - Samsung HDD - H100I - Corsair C70 - G400 Logitech - Asus VS247H - WASD custom mechanical and QCKPAD!

Staples of LTT: Getting an 4690 K will resurrect your lost family members, AMD = More heat thus AMD = Satan.

My fps is great. My Graphics score in FS destroys that 290x....thats for sure. I score over 14k in fire strike lol

You can't be serious.  Hyperthreading is a market joke?

What are you talking about?

Some CPUs will... Not a 4790k

I was talking in reference to when Luke had a dual core and linus had a quad core.

Brand new computer, fresh windows install, get everything how I like, get chrome, drivers, ninite, window settings. Download and run firestrike. Seems really low, anyone have any idea why? GPU1 usage is at 100% pretty much the entire time, and the temps never go above 78c. 290x is supposed to be roughly equal to a 970, yeah?

This is 3 Mark 11, my old GTX 480 used to be a bit of an odd ball in this test, and my physics score was always a little low for some reason, but this is what clocks do on the same hardware...

Now an i7 will easily add somewhere around 700 points.

The scores above are 7950/ R9 280 territory.
