Broadwell Dekstop Release Timeline

Does anyone have any good info--or well thought out speculation--as to when we might see the desktop Broadwell CPUs released? I'm right on the verge of jumping on a 4790K, but if Broadwell will be out in a couple of months, then I might as well wait. I was really let down when they only showed off mobile and laptop chips at CES, so I'm really curious when we'll see a 5770K (or whatever they end up calling it).

Im pretty sure Intel isnt releasing a Broadwell desktop CPU, Skylake however is expected to be 3rd Q of this year

Ok so if im wrong and broadwell is comming even in the next month, it would be pointless waiting till then if Skylake is comming later on this year

I'm definitely not waiting until the end of this year or the beginning of next. I would consider waiting a little while for Broadwell, but not up until whenever Skylake actually surfaces.

Ok so if im wrong and broadwell is comming even in the next month, it would be pointless waiting till then if Skylake is comming later on this year

Is it mobile and desktop as well for skylake this year? ..everything since bloomfield was pointless waiting for.

That only says there will be no low end desktop CPUs. It doesn't seem to say anything about higher end or enthusiast stuff. One could even read that as saying there won't be a desktop Broadwell i3 line, for example.
