Good iTunes-like music player for Windows?

Go to solution Solved by SirRoderick,

A vote for Foobar2000 here, awesome damn player which you can customise the theme of. If you like tinkering you can even make a custom version easily, many of those available online.

Looking for something like iTunes with the darker theme of Spotify for playing my personal files, not streaming over a network. Needs to recognize most types of audio, mp3/4, flac, wav, etc. Not VLC media player. Recommendations please. Preferably free but will consider up to about $30.

MP4 is video mate.

I'd personally recommend Foobar2000, or Winamp Lite - with the Winamp Essentials pack. Only 2 players i like for listening to music on.

Check out my custom Foobar2000.

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Arguing with religious people is like explaining to your mother that online games can't be paused...

iTunes?

 Use iTunes for windows?

I tried but it installs other stuff like Bonjour and Apples auto update notification and after late 2012 iTunes updates have not pleased me.

Just wondering, what's wrong with VLC?

Nothing, I use it for videos but just don't like the interface when dealing with sound only.

Didn't have that last time I used it, there was a mod that did this way back in 2011 but it was disabled in updates from 2012

Google Music

I do like these, but I meant for files I have, not streaming.

Yeah but there are still ads on the interface, I don't like subscription payments.

If you only listen to local files you don't get those audio ads, and the visual ones are not annoying at all
