ExcitezR

so im just curious you guys/ gals at what point you feel that you need your fans to go to 100% speed.

70 degrees on gpu, it's at 0% @ 64 degrees :D, then 100 :D

I don't know about cpu, it's quiet, it's cool, so I haven't set my own fan curve

Never have 100% fan speed. I have a 0% fan mod on my 970 until it gets 45 degrees and the max it ever gets is about 70 degrees.

When I start my PC, and for the rest of the time its running.

With the exception of my GPU and PSU fans.

MacBook Pro Anything below 75-80c and it stays at 2000rpm (silent). 80c = 3000rpm; fan speed then increases every time the temperature does. At around 90c it reaches max rpm.

50°C. I like my CPU to be cold.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

I don't. Walking simulator 2011 Skyrim isn't too much of a demanding game@1080p (at least with the amount of mods I can run with my particular setup and due to the 660's low amount of horsepower compared to modern cards).

At first I thought you were asking a different question (at what point does a fan achieve 100% speed) which I'd answer with "just before the speed it disintigrates, slicing your cables and taking your CPU, mobo and GPU with it.

200mm intake runs at full speed all the time. But its pretty quiet one anyway. Others are always under 70% (70%, 50% and 45%).

same, i use 2x 200mm intake

but my ambient temp is around 35C, so even in idle my CPU is average 40C. i use 212 Hyper btw, with JetFlo 120 mount in it

haven't OC yet, cause i'm not sure about the temp

I found a hack for my laptop to set the fans to turn on at 70C then ramp up every 5 degrees until it hits critical at 85C and immediately ramps all the way up to 100%

Unless I am overclocking my x58 system I keep all my fans on a pretty low level at around 15-20%. My GPU fans also pretty much never turn on as I have pretty good airflow, even with the fans at a low speed. My system would be inaudible if I wanted to switch out the Corsair AF140 Quiet Edition fans. They are not really that quiet, but they are pretty with their white LEDs. :)

Hey,

I want to buy a 970, I was thinking the G1 Gaming because I heard it only turns up the fans when the temps get high. what do you mean about a fan mod I might be interested when it comes the time :)

So the fact I have them set to be at 100% at a temp that I barely or never reach is a problem?
