I heard that a solar eclipse will occur on the 20th of March. Will anyone here be able to see it? I really hope that I can, considering that it will be my GF's bday at that time, but it seems that Indonesia won't be seeing it

This eclipse will stress the power grid and may cause blackouts in whole Europe.

The energy produced by photovoltaic will decrease and raise drastically within an hour.

It's like switching 14 big atomic plants off and on.

Cloud cover could reduce the effect.

people in the UK Scotland in particular as well as north western european countries will see it at 8.30 AM. Ill Be able to see it aswell hopefully from ireland (if the weather isnt shite haha).

Here in Denmark there is 80-85% coverage. The real problem is that it's going to be cloudy. If you can catch a plane to Svalbard in Norway or the Faroe Islands, you can catch a 100% coverage.
