Can't make the AverMedia Live Gamer HD Lite work

I solved the problem!

After some back and forth, playing around with absolutly everything I could think of, I found the solution which was to reinstall Windows and wipe all my drives. This is because there are still som traces left even if you uninstall the drivers, and you have to do it right the first time.

I recently bought two Avermedia Live Gamer HD Lite cards as I could get two for the price of one non-lite card. I have tried to install it in my PC, but I can't update it's latest firmware and is only causing problems. I've installed the drivers and RECentral, but when I  try to update firmware it cannot detect my card. I've tried somewhat everything the last 24 hours and can't find any solutions.
