onboard audio doesn't work (front and rear)

Go to solution Solved by creatip123,

Perhaps it's dead. It's not uncommon. My older realtek chip died, and caused a short that eventually took the whole mobo with it. Had to change the whole mobo.

Please help I don't know what's wrong and my onboard audio does not work. Only if I use the HDMI output from my graphics card to the TV then the audio works through my TV speakers.

Shot in the dark but maybe it's the settings: digital output vs. analog speakers.
