Getting rid of steam folder from destop

So I accidentally installed the steam "folder" on my desktop and i cant get it to move. I unistalled steam to try to get it to delete and I was gonna reinstall steam and put the folder in the correct spot. but when i unistalled it the folder is still there and it says that it cant be found when i try to get rid of it. How can I get rid of it?
